Remember, as a PRican you are not an immigrant in the complete sense of a way even though we are treated as such, we are just a different type of USA citizen. Just to clarify, this part of the newsletter that says "along with a chip on my shoulder of being an immigrant having to work three times as hard to get any respect" is not in reference to me being Puerto Rican but to me very much being an immigrant in New Zealand. I am not a Kiwi. And then I moved from NZ to AU - so both times I've been an immigrant. Sorry for the confusion 😊
