Empowering young people in environmental conservation is not just an investment in the future — it’s a crucial step towards creating a sustainable and thriving planet.

Here are some tips from your Latina BFF to help you guide and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards:

Knowledge is the first step towards action. Start by equipping the young ones in your life with knowledge about environmental issues and their impact. Foster a sense of curiosity through interactive learning experiences, field trips, and workshops – make sure all are age appropriate. And don’t forget to provide resources that empower them to understand the interconnectedness of ecosystems and the role humans play in shaping the environment.

2. Hands-On Experience:

Theory alone can’t ignite a passion for conservation (otherwise all the reading I’ve done about math would make me love it… and I don’t). Encourage young ones to get their hands dirty — literally!
